Join Dr. Chris Michaels on another spiritual journey to Thailand and Cambodia. Known for their ancient ruins and ornate temples, these Southeast Asian countries are filled with the rich history of Buddhist culture and faith. Daily spiritual practice and education are part of this wonderful tour.

Day One – Jan 21st – Arrive to Bangkok and transfer to hotel – Anantara Riverside Resort on the river

Day Two – Jan 22nd Morning meditation and breakfast. Then spiritual education and practice. Depart in the late morning to visit the temple of Wat Pho – Reclining Buddha The number one landmark in Thailand. We will meditate in the temple. Afternoon massages at Divana Scentuara Spa Welcome dinner.

Day Three – Jan 23rd - Morning meditation and breakfast. Then spiritual education and practice. Depart to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Arrive at FCC Angkor Hotel by Avani Evening on your own to explore the market in town.

Day Four – Jan 24th - Meet in the lobby at 5:00am to travel to the world heritage site, Angkor Wat for sunrise. Explore the ancient ruins of this magnificent temple and lost city. Return to the hotel for breakfast at 8:30am. Free day to enjoy the resort pool and grounds. Evening meditation and spiritual practice.

Day Five – Jan 25th - Morning meditation and breakfast. Then spiritual education and practice. Depart to volunteer at Future of Khmer Children School. (FKC) Talk to teachers and students and host a meal for the children. Afternoon on your own. Depart hotel at 6:30pm for Phare Circus show

Day Six – Jan 26th - Morning meditation and breakfast. Then spiritual education and practice. Transfer to airport to go to Chiang Mai and check into the hotel – Anantara Chiang Mai Resort Enjoy dinner at the resort and time for reflection.

Day Seven – Jan 27th - Morning meditation and breakfast. Then spiritual education and practice. Depart for Wat Pra Singh temple Return to hotel for lunch on your own. Afternoon departure for temple Wat Doi Suthep Q&A and Chanting with Buddhist monks.

Day Eight – Jan 28th – 8:00am departure to elephant sanctuary – Chang Chiang Mai (formerly named Thai Elephant Care Center) where you will help to care and feed the elephants. This is a 3-hour hands-on experience that provides you the opportunity to spend time learning about their care and feeding. Lunch at a local restaurant and then back to the hotel. Visit the famous night market in Chiang Mai.

Day Nine – Jan 29th - Morning meditation and breakfast. Then spiritual education and practice. Depart for Bangkok. Check in to hotel – Anantara Riverside Resort Take a tuk-tuk to see the famous 5.5 ton golden Buddha at the Temple of the Golden Buddha – Wat Traimit in China town. Explore China town on your own.

Day Ten – Jan 30th – Morning meditation and breakfast. Then spiritual education and practice. Optional Thai cooking class. Explore the excellent opportunity for retail therapy in the fabulous shopping market in Bangkok Farewell dinner at the hotel.

Day Eleven – Jan 31st – Depart Bangkok to return home.
