Auditions: Baby – The Musical

“Baby” – The 2021 Musical. Book by Sybille Pearson, music by David Shire, lyrics by Richard Maltby Jr. Musical Direction: Kevin Wallace / Production Director: William Olson. Cast includes six women and four men. Seeking non-equity actors, singers, and dancers. The play centers around three couples in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. Depending on the role, a stipend of $250 – $1,000 will be offered for the performance run. Performances: seven performances over two weekends, March 12 – 21, 2027. Friday March 12 & 19 and Saturday March 13 & 20 at 7:30 PM; Thursday March 18 at 2:00 PM; Sunday March 14 & 21 at 3:00 PM.

What to prepare

Prepare to sing one to two minutes from a song of your choice. Please prepare two selections (a ballad and up-tempo). Piano is available; you may bring sheet music or a recorded accompanying track to sing to.

Auditions will also include cold readings from the script. Scenes will be available upon arrival for your perusal.
