What Is Science of Mind?
Science of Mind is a spiritual philosophy that brings together insights from science, religion, philosophy, and psychology to explore the nature of consciousness, our relationship with the Divine, and how we can live with greater awareness, purpose, love, and wholeness.
We believe there is One Universal Presence—the Divine Intelligence and Life that is within us, around us, and expressed through all of creation. Every person is a unique expression of that One Life, and every life is sacred.
We honor all religions and the many paths people take to know and experience the Divine. We believe that all paths lead us toward the Universal Truth, even when those paths use different language, traditions, practices, and understandings.
Our teaching is rooted in The Science of Mind by Dr. Ernest Holmes. Holmes studied widely across the world’s religious and wisdom traditions, as well as philosophy, psychology, and the emerging discoveries of science. He drew from these diverse sources to explore the universal principles underlying humanity’s spiritual experience.
Holmes taught that the universe is an expression of an Infinite Mind and that we are not separate from this Divine Intelligence. His work invites us to discover the spiritual nature within ourselves and to recognize our capacity to participate consciously in the unfolding of our lives.
We describe this approach as being “open at the top.” We remain curious, receptive, and willing to discover new understanding wherever truth reveals itself—through science, art, nature, philosophy, human experience, and the world’s spiritual traditions.
We learn from the world’s sacred texts and wisdom traditions. We honor each tradition in its own context while exploring the universal wisdom and spiritual truths that can be found within them.
You don’t have to leave your beliefs at the door. Whether you come from a particular faith tradition, another spiritual path, or no religious background at all, you are welcome here. We invite you to explore, question, experience, and discover what is true for you.
At the heart of Science of Mind is a simple understanding: There is One Life, One Presence, and One Love—and we are all part of it.
